The TaylorMade V Steel fairway wood is one of the most iconic fairway woods ever produced and many golfers still rate it among the best fairway woods ever made. Its name comes from the unique V shaped sole design which reduces the amount of sole in contact with the turf. This allows the club to glide cleanly through the grass from tight fairway lies and the rough with minimal drag so clubhead speed is maintained through impact. The steel head has a low and deep centre of gravity that makes it easy to get the ball airborne off the deck and gives a powerful and penetrating ball flight. The classic pear shaped head looks superb at address. This 15 degree 3 wood is fitted with a regular flex graphite shaft and suits golfers of all abilities looking for a proven and reliable fairway wood at a very sensible price.
